The addressee of these letters is not defined; it can be a person, a place, a moment in time, an emotion, an inanimate object, anything you want. Instead of going to the intended recipient, these letters come to us, to be posted on walls, hidden in books, tucked in couches, left on the train, and shared online. Empowered by the security of anonymity, we encourage writers to explore the more secret side of their experience and use their freedom to say those things that might never, otherwise, be said.

Our hope is that the people who discover these letters can connect with the unfiltered truths in words of strangers, identify parts of their own experience, and feel encouraged to share their stories.
